Welcome

Welcome to my new blog, "Busy Butterflies."   I chose that name because that is the name of my room at the Concord YMCA Child Development Center.   "Busy" is the word I would use to describe the 2 1/2 - 3-year old children that are in my room.   "Busy" is also the word I would use to describe what I and my associate teacher are as we try to keep them occupied and out of trouble.   We do have a lot of fun in our little room.   We love music, movement, books, art, and playing.  My plan for this blog is to use it to share some of my theme activities for this year.   I will try to include lots of pictures of art projects, favorite books, and songs.   Since I get a lot of my ideas from other place,  I may not be able to include specific information, but I will double check on that.  I will also include links to other pages that have other ideas that relate to the topic.  I hope that this blog will be informative and useful to those of you who teach older toddlers.
